Turning the idea into reality meant more than designing clothes—it meant learning an entirely new industry from the ground up. I immersed myself in fabric sourcing, fit development, and production logistics, all while staying true to the brand’s vision: refined, effortless pieces that speak to both style and substance. From sketches to samples to final pieces, every step was intentional. After months of testing, adjusting, and refining, the first collection came to life—luxury resort wear built to challenge assumptions and elevate the everyday.

The idea to start a luxury men’s resort wear line didn’t come to me in a moment of inspiration—it came from years of quiet reflection and personal contradiction. I grew up hearing a familiar phrase: “Black people don’t swim.” A stereotype passed around like folklore, often with laughter, but rooted in generations of exclusion—from public pools to private beach clubs. Yet I’ve always been drawn to the water. Not just the act of swimming, but everything around it: the style, the leisure, the confidence, the quiet luxury of truly belonging in those spaces.
